Today's R's Opa's birthday, and he's 80 years young!! Woo hoo!! We're having a nice little family party for him and for him I decided since it's peach season here, I'm going make him a peach pie (besides the only other dessert is a cake from Costco and they're not my personal fav). It's my first attempt at it so hopefully it doesn't blow up in my face. LOL Although I'm a pastry cook, it seems I'm never asked to bring any sweets to R's family get togethers . . and in a wierd way it kinda bugs me. But I guess it better than be expected to bring dessert all the time . . . hum . . . guess it's kinda a catch 22 eh?!
For my pie I used the recipe from Williams Sonoma for both the dough and the filling. You can find the recipes here. Once we eat it I'll leave a note on how it was recieved!!!
